Welcome to Zatu's Gaming Centre!

Here at the Gaming Centre we pride ourselves on what we call “The Three Pillars” of the Gaming
Centre. Everyone who takes part in an event here is expected to abide by these pillars so that we
can create a Fun, Safe and Competitive environment for everyone.

Fun

● We expect our players to treat each other with respect and promote an enjoyable
environment. Do not harass, bully, threaten, harm, or cause discomfort to other people,
including any other players and staff, or any contracted staff that has been hired to help at
events, including judges and event staff.
● Engaging in or encouraging any discriminatory, disrespectful, prejudicial, hateful, physically
dangerous, illegal, or otherwise objectionable conduct, as determined by Zatu in its sole
discretion, is not allowed.
● Discrimination or prejudice based upon race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation,
gender, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status will not be
tolerated. Use of hate speech or racial, ethnic, sexist, homophobic, or religious slurs is not
allowed.
● Communications clearly insulting other users, individually or as a group, directly or
indirectly, are not allowed.
● Stalking, harassing, bullying, threatening, misrepresenting, harming, or impersonating any
person or company is not allowed.
● Harassment of a specific person by repeated trolling, spamming, personal attacks, or
posting their personal or other confidential information is not allowed. Trolling or baiti
the community in general with inflammatory statements, such as ones designed to elicit
negative response from the community, are prohibited.
● Falsely reporting another player with the sole intent of restricting their gameplay is also
unacceptable and will result in consequences.
● Maintain a socially acceptable level of personal hygiene.

Safe

● Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult aged
18 years or over. Zatu Games takes no responsibility for children under the age of 18,
responsibility shall remain with the parent or guardian of the relevant child at all times.
● Do not use, post, distribute, or link to obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, graphically
or gratuitously violent, derogatory, demeaning, malicious, defamatory, abusive, offensive,
hateful, or discriminatory language or content. This includes “masking” language by using
alternative characters/spelling/spacing to get around profanity filter
● Do not use, post, distribute, or link to religious or political content. This includes any
bashing or derogatory comments of religions or religious groups and/or political groups or
affiliation
● No smoking or vaping is permitted inside Zatu’s Gaming Centre. There is outside seating
available for this.
● Zatu Games reserves the right to conduct security searches to all persons attending the
event and their possessions.
● Zatu Games reserves the right to, at their sole discretion, refuse access to, or remove from
the venue, without a refund any person who unreasonably refuses to be searched, is
considered harmful, undesirable or offensive, or is deemed necessary to remove in the
interests of security.
● Zatu Games does not accept responsibility for personal property brought into the venue.
● Entry to the event is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Zatu Games excludes
all liability for loss, damage or injury suffered by an attendee howsoever caused.
● Attendees shall be responsible for and indemnify Zatu Games fully for any loss or damage
to Zatu Games's property caused by the act or default of an attendee.
● You have to let us know at least 24 hours before the event is due to occur if you wish to
exchange or refund your ticket. After this time, the tickets are non-refundable however can
be transferred to another player. This does not affect your statutory rights.
● If you are no longer able to attend the event and wish to discuss this with us, please us at
[email protected].
● Any complaints regarding the event should be made to Zatu Games promptly before or
during the event. Please raise any issues with the tournament staff at the event, or
otherwise by contacting us at [email protected].

Competitive

● Do not attempt to artificially alter the outcome of a sanctioned event, tournament,
organized game. Bribing or offering compensation to change the outcome of a game is not
allowed. Stalling, spamming, harassing, or behaving in any unsportsmanlike manner is not
allowed.
● Recognising the level of your opponent and supporting them on how to play or
implementing the rules according to the level.
● It is your responsibility to make your level (beginner, experienced, etc) known to your
opponent before any match.
● Ensure that all your cards/ miniatures/ play pieces etc are legal for play according to your
games rules, formats and ban lists.
● Slow playing, stacking, and all other illegal plays will be a punishable offence. (With the
exception of slow playing for beginners)
● Please ensure that all communication with your opponent is polite, respectful and
courteous.
● All players must present themselves for play in a timely manner and double-check their
match record and standings as pairings are posted each round, and report any
discrepancies to the appropriate event staff immediately.
● Spectators are welcome, however, please do not interfere with play, discuss the match
within earshot and please maintain a reasonable distance from the table whilst a game is
happening.
Any breaches of these pillars will incur a warning in the first instance, then for any repeat offences a ban may be considered.
