Rockstar Games finally announced Red Dead Redemption 2 this week - much to the delight of the original game's huge fan base.
There has been speculation for months now that the publishers of Red Dead Redemption were working on a sequel to the last generation classic. Things really heated up this past week however when Rockstar published a couple of photos on their Twitter page.
The first came on Sunday evening when they uploaded a photo of the Rockstar Games logo, with a red background. This was followed by another photo on Monday, which appeared to show a group of cowboys standing proudly with the sun setting on the red sky behind them.
Both pictures were uploaded with any comment, with the first one being set as a profile picture and the second as the header photo. This had all but confirmed the release of the sequel but some people were still cautious.
We weren't kept waiting for long though! The next day Rockstar Games uploaded a new version of the sunset image. The new version was zoomed in and featured a huge logo which read: Red Dead Redemption 2. The image confirmed that the new game would be released fall 2017 and that a trailer would follow on October 20.
That trailer has now been released and here it is in all its glory:
