Warhammer Bulletin: Ruination

WARHAMMER ETERNALS

Welcome to another Warhammer Bulletin, taking a look each week at what’s gone up for pre-order in the Warhammer universe. This week the doors to the Ruination chamber have opened and the Stormcast have emerged in force. We have a combination of new units and units that were previously only available in the Skaventide box.

Age of Sigmar

The Stormcast are warriors without peer, mighty warriors who have dedicated their lives (and in some ways their death) to defeating Sigmar’s foes. It was thought they live forever, but while that may or may not be true, each death takes its toll and they eventually end up in the Ruination Chamber, only to be called upon in the direst of needs. For those in this Chamber are the mightiest of the mighty, but lack much of anything else.

Battletome: Stormcast Eternals - 152-pages of everything you need to take your newly painted (or grey, we don’t judge) Stormcast army into battle. There is also a more focused Gamers edition that comes with warscroll cards available direct from GW.

Iridan the Witness - Given he has the weighty task of ending a Stormcasts life for the final time when the curse of reforging has taken too much from them, you can see why he looks a bit grim.

Tornus the Redeemed - He really is redeemed you know, I read the book, it was pretty damn cool.

Lord-Celestant

Lord-Relictor - As Space Marine Chaplain’s proved to us long ago, Skull helmets are very cool.

Lord-Terminos - Axe or Sword? Got to be the axe for me.

Stormstrike Palladors - Noble Stormcast cavalry, they’ve got the banner and the horn and everything.

● Liberators (GW Exclusive) - These guys do all the real work.

● Prosecutors (GW Exclusive) - I’ve just painted mine. I can’t get over how cool the wings are.

Reclusians - Normal Stormcast turned up to 11, with a vision to one day being a Lord Terminos. Very cool.

● Lord-Imperatant (GW Exclusive)

● Knight-Arcanum (GW Exclusive)

● Stormcoven (GW Exclusive)

Stormreach Portal - I don’t often go in for scenery, but if this was painted well it would look awesome on the battlefield.

Warscroll Cards and Dice Set

Ratling Warpblaster - Wait, that’s not Stormcast. Those sneaky Skaven are about.

● Ravening Gnarloak (GW Exclusive)

Accessories

Servo-skull Palette - While I do like the disposable palettes GW used to do, this is a pretty cool concept. Will have to see how easy it really is to clean.

Stormvault Combat Case - Clearly the original case did well, so now we have a bigger one. Keep an eye out for a review of these cases in the future from me as I need to see if it really works.

Black Library

This week we have a couple of new books, a deluxe edition, more Ciaphas Cain and some translated edition. A good haul I’d say.

Anvils of the Heldenhammer: The Ancients (Hardback, eBook and Audiobook)

● First Founding (Deluxe Edition)

On the Shoulders of Giants and Other Stories (Hardback and eBook)

● Ciaphas Cain Print on Demand - Well, there goes my money

● Sanguinius: The Great Angel (French and German editions)

● Siege of Terra series (French and German editions)

● Longshot (French and German editions)
