Warhammer Bulletin: Deep Underground

WARHAMMER
WARHAMMER

Welcome to another Warhammer Bulletin, taking a look each week at what’s gone up for pre-order in the Warhammer universe. Today we delve deep underground pre-orders, but in two completely different settings. First we take a look at the corrupted depths of Hive Secundus on Necromunda, then we take a look back into the Old World at the Dwarves and their mountain holds.

Necromunda

Hive Secundus

WIll you dare explore the dark depths of a fallen Hive? What will you find down there? Riches beyond your wildest imagination, or death? Still want to give it a go, well then you better grab the newest Necromunda expansion, Hive Secundus.

The box contains 8 Van Saar Tek-hunters who are in search of knowledge, plus 2 Orrus Spyre Hunters and a Caryatid Prime who have joined them to hunt for deformed and mutated genestealers (mutated more than normal I mean). There are also 6 Masltrain Genestealers, 4 Malstrain Tyramites, and 8 Brood Scum. It also contains a terrain set, the 176-page rulebook, various cards for use with the expansion, a token board, a ruler, two blast markers and a flamer template, two rules reference sheets, and 16 Necromunda dice.

Hive Data Stack Cluster

Want to expand upon the terrain in the box, this two pack of data stack clusters will make an excellent addition.

Ruined Zone Mortalis

Or perhaps you want to expand to something with a bit more variety. The Ruined Zone Mortalis terrain set has 24 pieces of terrain inside, including ruined walls, doors and columns.

Proxy and Fixer

This pair is just what you need to fix your gang up after a scuffle. Available for pre-order in a resin kit direct from GW, they both come in one pack.

Carta Galactica: Secundan Exclusion Zone

There have been some stunning maps produced from Games Workshop recently and this is no exception. This 1,000mm x 890mm focuses on the Ash Wastes, specifically the part around Hive Secundus. Available to pre-order direct from GW.

Old World

Arcane Journal: Dwarfen Mountain Holds

Moving on to the Old World it’s the time of the Dwarfs. Here we have a 48-page softback supplement for the Dwarfen Mountain Holds. It includes rules for new runes and runic tattoos, 3 named characters and various special units, plus 2 armies of infamy. As you’d expect it also contains plenty of background information about the Dwarfs of the Old World and a scenario for you to try out. Available to pre-order in paperback and will also be available as an epub.

Dwarfen Mountain Holds Battalion

The perfect way to start a Dwarf army. This box contains 32 Dwarf Warriors, 32 crossbow-wielding Quarrellers/Thunderers, plus 2 Gryrocopters that can be built as Gyrobombers or Scout Gyrocopters.

Dwarfen Mountain Holds Accessories

There are several accessories available to supplement you Dwarfen army. Reference card packs so you always have the unit rules easily to hand. Dwarf dice (regular size) to add some theming to your gaming session. And transfer sheets, to add some more visuals to your army.

Ungrim Ironfist, the Slayer King of Karak Kadrin

A resin miniature available direct from GW, the Slayer King of Karak Kadrin has returned, in a somewhat younger state than we’ve seen him before. He has his crown upon his head and his mighty axe in hand, ready to take on all comers.

Dwarf Lords with Shieldbearers

Why walk when you can be carried upon a shield by your bodyguards. Granted I imagine this makes it harder for the bodyguards to protect you, but let's not worry about that. This kit gives you the option of running the Lord/Thane on foot or carried aloft. Whatever state you choose, he’s ready for battle.

Dwarf Thane with Handgun on Oathstone

A resin miniature available direct from GW, this Thane perches atop a powerful rock inscribed with powerful runes and oaths of vengeance. It’s also quite handy when you have a gun and can take vengeance from a distance.

Classic Dwarfs

Numerous other classic dwarf kits are now available to pre-order. They are made from various different things as listed below, even some metal kits, which takes me back. I still have nightmares about trying to get metal caves trolls arms to stay on.

● Characters (Resin/Plastic/Metal)

● Troops (Plastic)

● Mercenaries (Metal)

● War Engines (Metal)

The Anvil of Doom and Bugman’s Cart

Yes, the Anvil of Doom is an impressive artefact passed down the generations that can unleash freshly forged runes…but…Bugman’s Beer. Need I say more?

40k

Adepta Sororitas Datasheet Cards

Datasheet cards now available for the Adepta Sororitas to help you play your games with all the rules close at hand.

Black Library

Just a couple of items from the Black Library this week:

● Dead Men Walking Special Edition - The Death Korps of Krieg take on the implacable Necrons. A special edition of a classic tale available direct from GW.

● Sons of Fenris - Newly available on audiobook
