Welcome to another Warhammer Bulletin, taking a look each week at what’s gone up for pre-order in the Warhammer universe. I’m back after a short break in my coverage of everything Games Workshop, always good to have a rest, but I’m back and eager to see what’s on pre-order this week. Let’s dig in.
Horus Heresy - Mechanicum
Campaigns of The Age of Darkness: The Martian Civil War
The Legiones Astartes weren’t the only ones taking part in the Horus Heresy, there were some deeply troubling things happening within the Mechanicum as well, and this new campaign book will let you experience them first hand! This 168-page hardback charts the story of the Red Planet’s insurrection. Inside you’ll find lore, new missions, rules for an Onslaught campaign and much more.

As supreme commander of Taghmatas, the Archmagos Prime blends intelligence and a strategic mind. They are armed with a corposant stave, a conversion beamer and a volkite serpenta.
Riding in on super fast jetpacks with lightning guns at the ready, the Thallax Cohort are both durable and deadly. This is a unit of 6 Thallax with options for phased plasma-fusils, photon thrusters and multi-meltas.
Castellax Battle-automata Maniple
Giant, killer, robots! These giant war engines are equipped with both ranged and close combat weapons. This unit comes with 2 Castellax and have options for shock chargers, power blade arrays, mauler bolt cannons, a darkfire cannon and multi-meltas.
Even, bigger, giant, killer, robot! Even bigger than its Castellax cousins, the Thanatar has a mounted hellex plasma mortar, and honestly I don’t even need to see the rules to know that that thing is going to cause some major damage. It also carries shocker chargers and a twin-linked mauler bolt cannon.
Look, don’t annoy the Mechanicum, especially any Magos. You think other factions will do bad things to you? The Mechanicum will turn you into a tech-thrall, a mindless cyborg drone that gets thrown at the enemy by the thousand just to slow them down. This unit contains 20 Tech-thralls.
This looks like a Thunderbirds prototype in a steampunk world, and that makes it pretty damn cool. The Triaros Armoured Conveyor can deliver your infantry across the battlefield safely due to its size and armour. This kit comes with options for two hunter-killer missiles.

Nothing feels quite like playing a new army with a themed set of dice, so why not pick up some for the Mechanicum.

Arcane Journal: Warriors of Chaos
Join in the Warriors of Chaos assault on the Old World with this new Arcane Journal supplement. It contains background lore, scenarios and various rules including for characters such as Frydaal the Chainmaker and Galrauch, and the Great Drake.

Chaos Warriors Upgrades
Chaos Warriors not Chaosy enough for you? Not deadly enough? Then pick up an upgrade kit! They feature some heavier weapons for taking out deadlier foes.
Chaos Chosen
Now these ain’t not basic Chaos Warriors, these are Chaos Chosen. The elite, the big cheeses, the top echelon.
Chaos Chosen Command
All that chaotic fury needs a direction, which is where the Chaos Chosen Command come in. This pack of five metal miniatures includes 2 regular Chosen, 1 drum-bearing Musician, 1 Icon Bearer, and 1 Champion.
Warriors of Chaos Characters
Various classic lords and heroes will also soon be available. The Champion of Chaos, a Sorcerer of Chaos, and a Chaos Lord mounted on a Manticore in plastic. Returning in metal are a Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount, a Sorcerer of Chaos on a Chaos Steed, and another Champion of Chaos.
Warriors of Chaos Monsters and War Machines
It’s not all lords and heroes out there, there be monsters too…or more specifically, Dragon Ogres, a Chimera, Chaos Trolls, Chaos Ogres and the Chaos Ogre Command. All in metal.
Then in resin there are Skin Wolves, the Dragon Ogre Shaggoth, the Gigantic Spawn, and a daemonic war machine known as the Hellcannon.
