Our YouTube channel is continuing to grow here at Zatu Games and this week we're happy to present our unboxing of Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game.
Dead of Winter: A Crossroads game was released in 2014 by Plaid Hat Games, the same company which released the highly-anticipated Seafall towards the end of last year. The game is intended to by the first in the "Crossroads" series.
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the majority of people are either dead or have turned into flash-eating, diseased monsters. Each player is given a faction to look after during the game.
Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game is known as a meta-cooperative game. This means that although you are all working together to secure one common victory, by surviving, each player will also have their own personal, secretive objective. Each player needs to complete this objective if they are to be victorious.
With this in mind you need to very careful who you trust throughout the game. One player's secret objective could put the game's main campaign at risk. Despite all of the hidden agendas you will need to work together to fight off the monsters, resolve crises, find food and keep your group's morale alive and kicking.
