Vault X – 12-Pocket Exo-Tec Zip Binder – Signature Black Review

BINDER
BINDER

You want a great binder to hold your collectable cards? You would like it to be sturdy, easy to load and weather resistant? I guess you’d like it competitively priced too? Well, here’s some thoughts on the Vault X – 12-Pocket Exo-Tec Zip Binder in Signature Black to help you decide if it fits the bill.

Firstly, I bought this for my son to store his Pokémon cards, the Wooper decoration in my pictures was his addition (done with Acrylic Paint Markers, if you decide that you want to customise your own ). He specifically requested it due to its high quality. So, I asked him, what makes it so good?

1. The Vault X – 12-Pocket Exo-Tec Zip Binder zips up, meaning that cards cannot accidentally fall out. If they do, they stay in the binder and will not be lost.

2. The outer covers are made of weather proof material that feels nicer and of better quality than the plastic some other binders are covered with.

3. Pockets are side loading, as demonstrated in the image, making it easy to insert the cards. The fit is a perfect size for sleeved cards too, so your sleeved cards will not be squashed. They also fit snugly so are unlikely to fall out.

4. Pages are pocketed on two sides with a material page between them meaning that you do not have to fit two cards to a pocket to display front and back; this prevents cards getting damaged by each other in the binder because they are totally separate.

Let’s be honest, it’s a binder. There is little to go on about here so let’s ask the key questions:

· Does it do what you want? i.e. hold cards.

o Yes, the Vault X – 12-Pocket Exo-Tec Zip Binder holds up to 480!

· Does it do it well?

o Yes, and it even looks good doing it because the black pages make the card art pop!

· Is it worth the cost?

o Yes. For what you are getting it is well priced and in-line with (if not slightly cheaper than) similar quality equivalents (for example Ultra-Pro binders).

· Why not buy one of the cheaper options?

o The Vault X – 12-Pocket Exo-Tec Zip Binder maintains the quality of your cards better than budget binders. What is the point of putting your £50 ultra-rare card in a £10 binder that risks it getting damaged?

· If you needed another binder, would you buy the Vault X – 12-Pocket Exo-Tec Zip Binder again?

o Yes, with the caveat that these things hold 480 cards, so I’d want to be sure that I was likely to acquire that many more cards!
