UK Games Expo Rundown 2022

Taking place in Birmingham from the 3rd to the 5th of June, the largest tabletop games convention in the UK did not disappoint. UK Games Expo was bouncing with enthusiastic, happy gamers from across the globe. After the past couple of years, it was incredible to see people get together and have fun doing what we love best – tabletop gaming.

Featuring a whole host of board game designers and publishers, we got the chance to be taught how to play games direct from the horses’ mouth, including some that are coming to Kickstarter in the next few months. Designers and publishers alike loved showing off their games, and it was great to be able to give feedback prior to the games going to print.

With Over 300 Exhibitors

We were lucky enough to book a slot online to playtest a couple of games. Amulet of Thrayax by Tom Truman & Trolls ‘n’ Rerolls was a great example, and we are eagerly awaiting the Kickstarter release. Other notable mentions include Old King’s Crown and Cake of Doom.

From Giant Risk, Dinky Dungeon and Starship Simulator to cosplay groups, Dungeons and Dragons tournaments, awards ceremonies and live shows, there really was something for everybody at UK Games Expo. The Family Zone was fantastic for kids – our daughter loved getting involved and playing games. She especially loved Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza and Sandwich Masters! Zatu Games were also in attendance, and the stall was buzzing with excitement and lots of freebies too! We can’t wait for next year!
