Welcome to part three of our UK Games Expo preview. The UKGE is the UK's biggest gaming convention and is full of publishers and designers showing off their well-known games, as well as upcoming projects.
You can read part one and part two of our preview on our blog, but for now let's focus on some more of the people who will be making an appearance this weekend.
TC - Big Imagination Games
Hi everyone! My name's TC and I'm kicking off a new publisher in the Oxford region called Big Imagination Games.
Our first title, The Champion of the Wild is a social card game for 3-6 players in which you are an animal trainer, choosing one animal to represent your training prowess by competing in three physical events against the animals chosen by other players. You'll come to stare at the beautiful art, but you'll stay for the image of a killer whale trying to hide under a rug in a game of hide and seek...
We're at the expo to showcase our game, get your feedback and beef up our mailing list ahead of the Kickstarter launch this coming September. We'll also be running a game giveaway each day which you can enter if you manage to crack the code...
Come and meet us at our booth to find out more!
Keith - Cardboard & Coffee Games
I’m Keith McLeman, a many-time computer game developer and first-time board game designer. I’ll be play-testing Nuts And Bots at the UK Games Expo stand D11 - Cardboard And Coffee Games. Nuts And Bots is a tile-laying strategy game for 2-4 players where all players plan and design a robot-building factory while competing to build the biggest and best robots.
An early version of the game had its first public play-test last year at the Play-test UK area of UKGE and received positive feedback. This year I’m looking for more great feedback to finalise the design.

Errant Sword Gaming
UKGE 2017 will see the debut of Errant Sword Gaming on our own starter stand at C30.
We will be continuing to play-test and demonstrate the final gameplay prototypes of our forthcoming title, Elemental Ascent.
Elemental Ascent itself is a fast-paced, strategy-light, family-friendly title for two to four players. Players discover and explore a new world, summon fantastical Elementals and extract resources, all to build massive Elemetal Shrines.
We do have some history at UKGE, with Elemental Ascent having been our entry in the final UKGE redesign-a-board-game competition. We lucky enough to be a shortlisted entrant and runner-up in the 2016 final, and have been in ongoing development since
We look forward to seeing everyone at UKGE!

Honeysuckle Games
This will be Honeysuckle Games' first time at UKGE and we'll be demoing our first game Zombie Babies before it's launched on kickstarter in July! If you demo the game you'll get a free promo card. Hope to see you at stand J11.
Zombies are scary, deadly and carnivorous creatures right? Not this time, they're cute, yucky and smelly babies! Zombie Babies is a humorous character building card and dice game.
The aim of the game is to get the most XP points, by completing quests which involves killing zombies, collecting items and building your characters stats. Each quest offers a small story and requires you to complete a skill test by rolling dice to test your characters stats individually.
However beware the other players might have a trick or two up their sleeve to leave you behind and fall prey to the many zombies wandering the nursery. Special cards spice up the game play and allow you to affect others turns making them weaker or help yourself overcome obstacles in your way. At the end of each game a random Boss card will appear and players will have to fight the Boss to the death.
Ever wondered how a baby can help during a Zombie apocalypse well now you know. Warning: you may look at babies differently after this game! Demo the game at stand J11!
