Be sure to pop over to the Zatu Games YouTube channel to watch this month’s episode.
This month we are bringing you our top 5 games to play at the pub. This episode was filmed together inside for the first time in a long time. It is also the first episode to feature our new set! Without further ado - here's the top 5 games to play at the pub.
Wavelength
Anyone with some psychic ability will be thrilled to hear Wavelength is kicking off our list. Wavelength is perfect to play at the pub for many reasons and the first is its easy setup. Good to get out and put away without too much faff.
It is a social guessing game in which two teams compete to read each other's minds. Using questions, a hot/cold dial, and telepathy, Wavelength is won by guessing where your opponent, The Psychic, has placed their bullseye as close as you can.
Overcooked 2 (Switch)
This is one is for those pubs popping up all over the place that have game consoles, specifically ones that host a Nintendo Switch! Alternatively, you could take your own. What's better than playing a switch at home? Playing a switch with your mates and plenty of drinks available.
Overcooked 2 is a frantic cooking game where players must work together to help the restaurant run smoothly. It never does of course and Overcooked 2's charm is the hilariousness of shouting with your friends to make sure the pie isn't burning and the rice is in the pot. Like Gordon Ramsey, but without the swearing. Well, maybe some swearing..
All this while saving the planet from the zombie carbohydrates, the Unbread (pun intended).
Mr Lister's Quiz Shootout
A Big Potato classic. Mr. Lister's Quiz Shootout is your average pop quiz game, just with an added element of Russian roulette. Get a correct answer and you receive a point. Guess wrong, and you get diddly squat. If the teams tie you must both answer an impossible question on the count of 1..2..3! Whoevers answer is the closest, wins, and the loser? Well, I'm sure we all know what happens at the end of a game of Russian Roulette.
Perfect for anyone to add a bit of edge to their general knowledge quiz and a perfect pub play as rewards focus on cocktails.
Lego Harry Potter Years 1 to 7
Like Lego? Fan of Harry Potter? It doesn't matter. Not only does this game incorporate everything the Lego and Harry Potter worlds have to offer it also is a great game for anyone who's looking to battle villains, cast spells, and complete a mission. Available on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, you can either visit a venue that hosts consoles or bring your own! Being a Harry Potter fan only increases the enjoyment of this game and of course, the Lego style graphics give it a quirky edge.
One Night Ultimate Werewolf
One Night Ultimate Werewolf is quick, easy, and fun! Perfect for a quick game round over a round at the pub. While a game only lasts around 10 minutes, you can play One Night Ultimate Werewolf over and over again and one game is never the same as the next! This game is great to play with people you know well as the objective is to find out who is the werewolf and being able to see through poker faces will be helpful in breaking the mystery. This game can be played by 3-10 players, making it a fantastic game no matter the size of your pub table.
