The Future Of Keyforge

Keyforge Future

Grim Reminders

Even as the Winds of Exchange campaign was ending, we heard the dark whispers, the oncoming storm, the Grim Reminders. Otherwise known as the title of the next Keyforge expansion. If you're anything like me, you enjoy all things spooky, so honestly I'm really looking forward to the next set. I even got some preview cards in my pledge rewards, take a look below!

The new House for the expansion is the Geistoids, remnants of civilizations from all across the Crucible, reformed into something…new, and terrifying. They are coming for revenge on those who discarded them.

The next crowdfunding campaign is set to start on October 12th. While I must admit I was hoping for a 'standard' release, rather than having to go through the trials of crowdfunding again, it seems to have become the new standard way for small-medium sized businesses to release new games. On the plus side, with everything that was figured out and the frameworks put in place during the first campaign, everything should run a lot smoother for this one. Fingers crossed!

Success & Popularity

Keyforge, like any other game, will live or die on its popularity. So for those of us who love the game, all we can do is support it, play it and encourage others to give it a try. Getting involved in your local scene is also a good idea. So far, things seem to be going well. It's taken off a storm in the US, and while the delay did hamper things in the rest of the world, it’s starting to pick up again now. Let's just hope it continues.

Whether Keyforge becomes the next MTG, or only lasts another expansion or two, I'm just happy to have it back and be playing it again in the community. And I hope all of you can enjoy it too.
