The best moves to make in a very cosy dragon game: Tea Dragon Society Autumn Harvest

TEA SOCIETY

‘There are 4 of us playing Tea Dragon Society Autumn Harvest, we are at the player limit, but I have first choice, which Dragon should I play?’

The clear answer here is ‘Hibiscus’- a beautiful baby pink smiley dragon baby, with light rose-coloured little wings and a cheerful heart-shaped dusky patch of fur on her chest. Surrounded by the game’s focal orange and vintage-bronze leaves, Hibiscus is not only the most beautiful of the 4 dragons available to play, she also is powerful, triggering the player power: ‘Whenever you draw a Feeding while you hold no Feeding, draw again’. Any girl who loves food as much as me is a girl after my own heart. And that is definitely Hibiscus. So there. End of story!

Other lovely cards to play in this beautifully simple, satisfying, magical game:

‘Herbs’ (a Market card)- depicting a pink-haired, smiley human with blushed cheeks and a calm, content smile picking fresh herbs, this card reads a 100% helpful message that eliminates an obstructive, sabotaging card. ‘Herbs’ reads: ‘When you draw a Mischief card, you may discard this card to ignore the Mischief card and draw again.’

‘Grooming’ (part of the Jasmine player’s deck)- a card that treats players to a beautiful illiustration of a darkened-turquoise, slender dragon who has leafy twigs as antlers and a proud leaf at the end of their tail. Being petted by his elder: a gentle, caring creature wearing a copper-coloured cardigan and glasses.

‘Grumpy’ (part of the Earl Grey player’s deck)- a cool, fashionable dragon in a right humph: dark purple, with pinky inner ears and spots, even adorning a nose ring, and a sparkly red bow. This is a card that is so so cute, it is still fun to play, even if it’s action is quite disruptive, reading: ‘When drawn, discard this and a sleeping’.

That’s it from me for today. If you liked this game, why not try the original version: The Tea Dragon Society Card Game? And if you liked this post, look out for my next one coming soon, same idea behind it, but all about Flamecraft, another dragon favourite of mine.
