Super Mario Bros Wonder: Second Opinion

Introduction

Super Mario Bros. Wonder brings a fresh and exciting twist to the classic Mario franchise. In the latest adventure, Mario and his friends explore a vibrant and whimsical new world filled with new gameplay mechanics and beautiful graphics. In this adventure, yet again Bowser is up to his old tricks and Mario and his friends vow to stop him (like most/all Mario games.)

The game introduces Wonder Flowers, which transform the environment and provide unique challenges and surprises. Players can choose from a variety of characters, and experience cooperative multiplayer fun. Super Mario Bros. Wonder combines the nostalgia of traditional Mario games with modern elements to create an unforgettable experience for both new and long-time fans. Something else that has been added to the game is badges and being able to add new abilities and being able to change the badges on each level you do, these badges also have levels where there are challenges you need to complete with a specific badge!

Badges Are a Level-Up in Fun!

Something I found really nice to be able to do in this game is being able to choose which character you wanted to play as out of Mario and his friends. I chose to play Princess Peach in the game as she’s one of my favourite Mario characters however I did switch to Princess Daisy sometimes as well.

In Super Mario Bros Wonder, badges are a new and exciting addition that bring a fresh twist to the classic Mario games. These badges provide Mario and his friends with unique abilities, enhancing the overall experience and adding an extra layer of strategy to the game.

These badges can be found throughout the game and add a new layer of customisation and excitement. Players can mix and match badges to suit their playstyle and the challenges they face, making each playthrough unique. I also enjoyed the badge levels where you got to test out and face challenges that were related to specific badges and is another fun thing to collect.

Wonder-ful Graphics

I love the new graphics for this game and found the level of detail incredible and especially when the characters get wet. I love the new style of the characters in this game too and prefer this style to the previous games.

I found some of the levels actually challenging and loved the addition of Wonder Seeds/Wonder Flowers added into the levels to make them extra challenging! Some of the levels even had me perplexed and frustrated because of how silly I was to keep dying in the same spots, but also refreshing as the most recent Mario games I’ve been playing I have found them quite easy to complete. I found the addition of new power ups like the elephant and bubble and even the old power ups like the flower (fire) and the invincible one a fun addition where needing the power ups are crucial to being able to collect all the coins on each level.
