We are only a week away from the launch of the new PS4 Pro console - Sony's attempt to bring 4K into the gaming world. The console was announced back in September and fans are now eager to get their hands on the new machine.
Alongside the new console there will be over 30 games available to play in beautiful 4K display - if you have a nice big shiny 4K television of course. Sony have promised that there will be more than 45 games optimised for the new console by the end of the year.
Here are some of the launch titles for the PS4 Pro:
Mafia 3
The third installment in the Mafia series has arrived and it's as brutal as ever! The game is set in the fictional city of New Bordeaux in 1968 and focuses on the story of Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam veteran looking to take on the Italian mob.
This is your typical mob story of rival gangs, dodgy deals and plenty of fighting. This is the biggest Mafia game yet and New Bordeaux's map is bigger than the previous two games' combined.
Gang members can use one of their many weapons to defeat the enemy or they can call for some assists known as "Italian Muscle." A stealth system means that you can also sneak up on your rivals before eliminating them. New Bordeaux is also filled with cars from the era which have realistic handling and sounds.
If you enjoy Grand Theft Auto then this is well worth a try in 4K!
FIFA 17
The latest edition in the long-running FIFA series has actually brought plenty of interesting changes with it. After switching to the Frostbite Engine, FIFA 17 looks brilliant on normal HD outputs so I imagine that it is going to look stunning in 4K.
Alongside the traditional career mode you can also now play The Journey - which sees you take the role of a young footballer who is just starting out in his professional career. You will live the life as a Premier League football and try and reach the very pinnacle of the sport.
Gameplay has been tightened up in the midfield and all of the set-pieces have been given a makeover. The penalties are very tricky to get used to - that's all I'm going to say on this subject.
Battlefield 1
World War One in 4k - who would have thought it. Battlefield has gone back to its routes with its newest title - much to the delight of everybody here in the Zatu office.
In this epic first-person shooter you will need to work with your squadron in order to gain victory. You will get to use WW1 weapons such as semi-automatic rifles, bolt-action rifles and mustard gas in order to fight against your opponents. There are also new melee weapons for you to play with, including shovels and trench clubs.
There are a number of vehicles for you to jump into - or on to! Yes you can ride horses into the battlefield.... right alongside biplane aircraft, armoured trucks, tanks and battleships. As with all Battlefield games the environments are completely destructible.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Whilst Battlefield heads back to its routes, Call of Duty is heading into a completely different direction - Space! That's right, you are now fighting a space war which spreads across different planets.
With the space setting comes new mechanics such as zero-gravity environments and the ability to take part in aerial combat - which looks quite similar to something you would see in Star Wars. It will be interesting to see how successful this risky setting is.
Zombies also make their debut on a Infinity Ward Call of Duty game and is a standalone story.
Titanfall 2
The highly-anticipated sequel to 2014's Titanfall. Titanfall 2 tells the story of infantry soldier Jack Cooper who aspire to become a pilot of a Titan! Just like with the original game you can control both the pilot and the Titans themselves.
The pilots are as agile as ever with their parkouring and zip-lining and this makes the gameplay as exciting as ever! Then you go online and the action heads to another level! The Titans have been modified from the first game and turned into six different variants - each with their own shield or traps and Core attacks.
If you love nothing more than online combat then this is the game for you!
Other top titles included in the launch line-up are NBA 2K17, Ratchet & Clank, Skyrim Special Edition, XCOM2 and Uncharted 4: A thief's End. By the end of the year they will be joined by the likes of Final Fantasy XV and Watch Dogs 2.
