Description
The Special Forces Tie Fighter for the Star Wars X-Wing Miniature game, or TIE/Sf, is more than just a new paint job for the legendary Tie Fighter. The TIE/sf "space superiority fighter" was only available for use by the First Order's most elite pilots. It was outfitted with advanced weaponry, in the form of a dual heavy laser turret; sensors; hyperdrives and shields. The TIE/Sf appears in a number of Star Wars games, books and graphic novels, plus Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
The TIE/sf Expansion Pack can be used in conjunction with your existing Galactic Empire or First Order faction builds. The detailed, pre-painted miniature reminds me of a deadly venomous spider with it's sleek black and white paint job and red detailing. But this ship doesn't just look like death in Starship form, it is!
The craft packs a two value primary attack, which you can combine with a zero-cost "Special Ops Training" title card to allow you to boost your attack to three. Alternatively, it can perform an additional attack in your auxiliary arc. That's right, send your TIE/Sf right into the middle of that horde of rebel scum and watch the horror on their faces while you fire both forwards and backwards at the same time!
Granted, the Special Forces TIE isn't as agile or quick as some models. However, it's got speed three Segnors loops, improved firing capabilities, and devastating abilities with both it's named pilots. Your enemies will find you hard to predict, tough to out manoeuvre, and scary to be anywhere near. The ship has two hull points and three shield and starts at just 23 points cost, so why not take four into battle.
The expansion pack come bundled with four pilot to choose from and five upgrade cards: Wired, Collision Detector, two copies of Sensor Cluster, and Special Ops Training. It also contains all the token you will need to play with this miniature right away.
You require a copy of the X-Wing miniatures base set to play this game.
