Description
High, low, left or right? In which direction do you slide the card in the middle? The choices are quickly diminishing. Time for a joker! Whoever runs out of cards first is the winner of Split! Or you increase the stakes and play the “play together” variant. The dealer shuffles all the cards and deals seven cards face down to each player. Then the dealer takes two additional cards. The dealer chooses the highest and lowest standard card from his/her hand and places them face up in the middle of the table so that the values of the cards are visible. The player to the left of the dealer starts, and then play continues clockwise. When it is your turn, you may only discard a card of a rank between the ranks of the cards in the two split piles OR a joker. If you cannot play a card from your hand, you must reset the game. The player whose turn it is can always decide whether to place the card from the middle on the left or the right pile before placing a card in the middle themselves. The first to run out of cards is the winner!
