Description
The title of the Sagrada 5-6 Player Expansion undersells itself somewhat – true, it adds extra window frame player boards, dice, favour tokens and score markers but it also adds a whole lot more to enhance and expand your Sagrada experience. For a little variation in your game you can choose to play with the new Private Dice Pools, which are round boards with 10 dice-sized recesses. Players will take two dice of each colour during set-up, roll them and place them in their Private Dice Pool. This will result in fewer dice in the dice bag and the number of dice drafted from the bag each round is reduced to one per player plus one (so five dice in a four player game, for example). This is because on your turn you will draft one dice from the draft pool and one from your Private Dice Pool. This means that while it’s not your turn you can plan which dice from your Private Pool you would like to take in future turns – this can help reduce downtime at the higher player counts. This expansion also adds two new tool cards that relate to the Private Dice Pool variant. In Sagrada’s base game the private objectives all relate to the visible dice pips on a specific colour of dice in a player’s window. The Sagrada 5-6 Player Expansion adds six new private objective cards that can be shuffled in with the regular private objectives and all relate to the visible dice pips on certain configurations of dice in your window – this means it’s now less obvious what private objective players are going for. As well as all of the above, the expansion adds six new window pattern cards (for increased variability) and the all-important dice tray, so the dice don’t go flying off the table when Grandma makes one of her over-enthusiastic rolls! This expansion is recommended for fans of Sagrada who are looking to play with more players or who would like more variety in their games of window building. Player Count: 1-6 Time: 30-45 Minutes Age: 13+
