Description

The 2001, 2002 and 2003 Christmas specials of the hugely popular BBC series about the wheeler-dealer Trotters, starring David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst. In 'If They Could See Us Now...!', Del-Boy (Jason) and Rodney (Lyndhurst) return after a five-year break for more dodgy dealings and unlikely antics. Thanks to a Central American stock market crash, the boys have lost their millions and their fancy Monte Carlo lifestyle, and are now back on their old stomping ground, trying to make ends meet like everybody else. When Del takes up an invite to appear on a big money TV game show, he thinks it might be his chance to regain his fortune. But when the big day comes, the elder Trotter's initial run of good luck risks turning sour when he makes the questionable decision of phoning his younger brother for help. In 'Strangers on the Shore', Del and Rodders are bankrupt again - so when the opportunity to go to France and visit a wine warehouse arises, it seems to be a good idea. Unfortunately, things don't go to plan: they manage to bring back an illegal immigrant - and accidently become the internationally-hunted 'Gary Gang'. Finally, 'Sleepless in Peckham' sees the Trotters facing eviction after 22 eventful years in Nelson Mandela Towers - unless they can come up with the £50 grand they owe the Inland Revenue, that is. But for the moment they have more pressing matters to deal with: Del Boy, Rodney and Boycie (John Challis) are stuck in jail in France for kidnapping after the stowaway in their van - whom they assumed was an illegal immigrant - turns out to be an important businessman who had got trapped in the back. And to top it all off, Cassandra is about to go into labour...
