MTG: Core Set 2020 Theme Booster – Set of 5

Magic the Gathering (MtG) is a collectable card game for 2 or more players. Each game represents a battle between powerful wizards known as Planeswalkers, who have the ability to travel the multiverse.

Players will cast spells, summon creatures and deploy artifacts to overcome their opponents. Typically, a player will win by reducing their opponents starting life points to zero, but there are other paths to victory.

To play the game, each player will need a deck of at least 60 cards. Players may use pre-constructed decks or customised decks created from their personal card collection.

Core Set 2020 is the 19th MtG core set, released on 12 July 2019. The set is comprised of 280 cards: 112 commons, 80 uncommons, 53 rares, 15 mythic rares, and 20 basic lands. The buy a box promo card was Rienne, Angel of Rebirth. The set features a loose storyline that focuses on the planeswalker Chandra Nalaar.

This expansion has been designed for drafting. It can be played in isolation, or combined with cards from other expansions for more varied play.

Theme Booster Packs will help players expand their collection in a specific area, by providing cards of a specific colour or theme. Five Theme Booster Packs were released with the Core Set 2020, one for each of the five basic colours of MtG.

Five 35-card, mono-coloured Theme Booster Packs.
Please note: By ordering this product, you will receive one Theme Booster of each colour (White, Black, Blue, Red and Green).

Each booster pack will include one rare or mythic rare card and a variable number of common and uncommon cards. A reference card is also included, to highlight aspects of the game to new players.
