Description

Triple bill of features that are versions of the popular Japanese anime series set in the future when the increasing population of humanity forces separate factions to live in space colonies as conflict arises over dominating the Earth and its resources.

In 'Mobile Suit Gundam' (1981) the Principality of Zeon launches a rebellion against the Earth Federation, and using newly developed humanoid robot suits they quickly gain the upper hand. However, the Earth Federation work on their own prototype of battle suits and led by the highly skilled Amuro Ray (voice of Toru Furuya) begin to fight back against the Zeon offensive which leads to an epic encounter between Amuro and Zeon's Char Aznable (Shuichi Ikeda).

In 'Mobile Suit Gundam: Soldiers of Sorrow' (1981), having been forced to flee the Earth on the White Base ship, Amuro Ray and his crew attempt to fight their way back to the Earth's headquarters in Jaburo. However, the crew must overcome personal disputes and maintain unity if they are going to be successful in defeating the forces of Zeon.

Finally, in 'Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space' (1982) the Zeon fighters have been forced to retreat and are now preparing for one final attack. Amuro falls in love with the mysterious Lalah Sune (Keiko Han), but will her true identity have any bearing on the outcome of the final battle of the war between the Earth and Zeon?
