Description
This insert is designed to be compatible with Eldritch Horror, and includes space for a single small box expansion (in these images the Forsaken Lore expansion is in the box). The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The boards and player boards act as a lid on top of the trays.
Insert features:
Two standee and small card trays
Two large card trays
Four trays for tokens
Two trays for monster and gate tiles
If all your cards are sleeved you need to stack the character standees and monsters together, to free up one of the tray spaces (shown here in the bottom corner). This space can store the remaining cards not stored in the two large card trays.
This product consists of a flat-pack of 4 sheets. The trays require assembly, which is quick and fun, using ordinary PVA glue. Detailed instructions are included in the package.
Eldritch Horror is hands down an amazing game with so much fun and potential that I absolutely adore it. One of them impulse buys when I found it on sale while browsing and after hearing good things about it, I just dove right in there and bought it.
The game is amazing but it does come with a lot of little bits and pieces in the base game. This ranges from cards of varying sizes along to character stands and tokens that are needed to play the game.
Here is the most tricky and tedious part of the whole game, the setup. It does take a while to get everything prepared and then to put it away in a reasonable order just isn’t great as the game box doesn’t hold anything neatly as I found out after my first playthrough.
I tried a multitude of different ways to store all the parts, from plastic food bags which were great but very untidy and made for a messy looking box. Then I moved onto plastic tubs that I had lying around. These looked better but trying to find enough in the house of the right size was tricky. After nearly losing the will to continue playing Eldritch Horror I thought enough is enough, there must be somewhere that can save me from this torture! Up stepped this absolute beauty of a time saver, the Folded Space – Eldritch Horror Insert. This amazing accessory has taken what was a long set up procedure, to now a matter of a minute to get everything ready. When taking into account that the game can run into the 2-3-hour mark per playthrough, this extra couple of minutes is a blessing.
The Folded Space – Eldritch Horror Insert arrives neatly flat packed in 4 pieces. Inside the packaging is the 4 pieces, pre-cut and ready to be popped out and put together. Along with the instructions which are a great help when it comes to putting the inserts back into the box after play.
A total of 10 trays in all are made, which are really simple and easy to do. All that is required is a bit of PVA glue. Once dried the inserts are ready to be filled with all the goodies within the box. What makes the Folded Space – Eldritch Horror Insert even more amazing is that you can get an extra expansion to fit nicely in the trays alongside the base game components. If you prefer to have all your cards in sleeves, then there is ample room for them to fit in the trays snugly. I cannot recommend the Folded Space – Eldritch Horror Insert enough, it will save you so much setup time that you can actually use to play the amazing game that is Eldritch Horror.
