Dangerous Waters is an expansion for Flash Point that adds two new locations to fight the flames, a merchant ship and a submarine, both having special machinery locations which need to be preserved in order to win the scenario.
The Merchant ship has bulkheads which act as walls but cannot be damaged or destroyed, but they do transfer heat meaning that smoke can be ignited in explosions through them. The Merchant ships engine is the special machinery that can only take a maximum of three damage from explosions and fires, as soon as it takes a fourth damage marker the game ends immediately.
The submarine has three special pieces of machinery; the diesel engine, the plotting table and control panel, all of which must not be destroyed otherwise the game ends. Like the merchant ship, the submarine has bulkheads which cannot be destroyed but can transfer heat.
Both the merchant ship and the submarine have fire proof doors, which can contain the spread of fire but can also malfunction. When a fire destroys the fireproof door, the six sided die is rolled and on a roll of 4-6 the door is damaged and a jammed marker is added. If an explosion happens again against this door, another jam marker is added and so on. The only way to open a jammed door is to take a chop action to remove each marker.
