The brand new Digimon Card Game lets players battle it out with your favourite Digimon creatures. Enter the world of Digimon and explore the countless amount of creatures available to you!

This starter set is ideal for anyone just starting out with the card game. Each of the starter sets include a starter deck, consisting of 54 cards, as well as 2 memory gauges and a booster pack.

Each deck also contains 16 types of card, with 7 common, 5 uncommon, 3 rare and 1 super rare card in each pack!

The hottest trend of the early 2000s is back! Grab your crocs, Tamagotchis and your favourite Blink-182 album as we go back to the digital world! Digimon Card Game is the incredibly successful relaunch of the Digimon CCG from Bandai-Namco. Launched to huge acclaim in Japan, and finally making the move to the west!

The Digimon Card Game is all about keeping your Digimon powered up and alive! Each player gets two decks, their Digi-Egg decks to hatch and breed new Digimon, and a traditional deck made of 50 cards that can include all other card types, Digimon, Tamer and Option Cards! These are all you need to play the game, however Digimon Card Game has something extra with the Memory System.

Digi-volution For Dummies

Memory is your way of playing cards. Each card in your main deck has a memory cost attached to it. To play the card, you must pay the Memory cost. However, you can go under zero! For example, if you have 5 memory and want to play WarGreymon, who costs 12. You can give your opponent an extra 7 memory to cast him that turn!

The starter packs are a great way to learn the game. I got the Gaia Red starter deck, but there are many others available. Gaia Red is based primarily around the character Tai from the original Digimon anime. The other decks are Cocytus Blue, Heaven’s Yellow, Giga Green, Machine Black and Venomous Violet. These 50-card decks also include a 1.0 Booster Pack! As with most starter packs, these are great to learn with.

The Future of The Game

The game’s meta is already starting to evolve. With decks like Yellow Shine and Ragnal Megazoo already coming to the forefront, every colour in the game is proving powerful. RagnaLoardmon and ShineGreymon are heavily sought-after cards that work great in these decks. See if you can get lucky with your pulls and get one of the alternate art cards too! These feature a rainbow holofoil finish over a borderless art!

To wrap it up, the Digimon Card Game is only going to get bigger and better. With the First Anniversary of the Japanese release just coming out, expect to see a lot of this game soon!
