The Digimon Card Game is all about keeping your Digimon powered up and alive! Digi-volution For Dummies
Memory is your way of playing cards. Each card in your main deck has a memory cost attached to it. To play the card, you must pay the Memory cost. However, you can go under zero! For example, if you have 5 memory and want to play WarGreymon, who costs 12. You can give your opponent an extra 7 memory to cast him that turn!
The starter packs are a great way to learn the game. I got the Gaia Red starter deck, but there are many others available. Gaia Red is based primarily around the character Tai from the original Digimon anime. The other decks are Cocytus Blue, Heaven’s Yellow, Giga Green, Machine Black and Venomous Violet. These 50-card decks also include a 1.0 Booster Pack! As with most starter packs, these are great to learn with.
The Future of The Game
The game’s meta is already starting to evolve. With decks like Yellow Shine and Ragnal Megazoo already coming to the forefront, every colour in the game is proving powerful. RagnaLoardmon and ShineGreymon are heavily sought-after cards that work great in these decks. See if you can get lucky with your pulls and get one of the alternate art cards too! These feature a rainbow holofoil finish over a borderless art!
To wrap it up, the Digimon Card Game is only going to get bigger and better. With the First Anniversary of the Japanese release just coming out, expect to see a lot of this game soon!
