Eve O'Carroll, a Caretaker Academy graduate and Engineer on the Starship Argo.

Eve grew up an orphan in New London but due to her innate skills and intelligence, she got a scholarship to the Caretaker Academy and has grown to become the most respected Engineer in the Caretaker Institution ranks.

Called up to lead the Engineering team on the human race's first mission to colonise a new world, she leaves behind the love of her life, John to embark on this new adventure, making a huge personal sacrifice of her own love and happiness for the greater good of humankind.
