Description

Commands & Colors Napoleonics is a war game based on the Commands & Colors (C&C) game system designed by Richard Borg.

The system is recognisable for utilising battle dice and a shared deck of command cards. The battle dice enable combat to be resolved efficiently. The command cards form the game engine, driving movement and providing orders for Units. They also serve to create a fog of war effect which add to the realism. Games utilising the C&C system also have a game board that is a hex grid. This grid is divided into three sections: Left flank, Centre, and Right flank.

Generals, Marshalls & Tacticians is the fifth expansion to the base game - which focuses on confrontations between Napoleons Forces and those of Great Britain. Showcasing engagements from Rolica in August 1808 to Waterloo in June 1815. Each of the first four expansions focuses on one national army (Spanish, Russian, Austrian, and Prussian). To get the most out of this expansion, copies of the other expansions is required. As is a copy of Commands & Colors Napoleonics.

This expansion includes 18 new scenarios that highlight engagements between 1808 and 1815. Many of the scenarios focus on battles between the French, Russian, Prussian, and Austrian armies around Leipzig in 1813.

Included in this expansion are four new unit types: Russian Light Lancer Cavalry, Russian Militia Light Lancer Cavalry, British Rocket Infantry and French Guard Horse Artillery. Additional units for existing types are also include for the French, British, Russian, Portuguese and Austrian armies.

New mechanics introduced include Garrison Markers and Tactician Cards. Tactician cards represent actions available to leaders on the battlefield. These cards will provide players with additional strategic options during the game.
