Welcome to Pelican City
You have devoted yourself to saving the lives of the people on the West Coast of the United States. The city is comprised of 4 diverse Districts containing a variety of environments, including historic quarters, the business districts, tourist areas and industrial zones. Each neighbourhood is different and can be the site of everyday accidents or major events. The citizens of Pelican City have daily habits and activities, any of which can lead to new types of incidents.
Sound the sirens
As soon as dispatch calls the alarm, you must race to your ambulance, turn on your siren, and race to the site of the accident as quickly as possible. It will take all your driving skills to navigate the crowded streets and find the best route. Time is of the essence!
Save lives
Once you reach the site of the accident, you must carefully analyse the situation to precisely determine the right treatment for each patient. Speak with them to learn about the circumstances of the accident and perform various necessary checks using the many instruments you have available and determine your initial diagnosis. Patients may react poorly to your methods if they have allergies, and some pre-existing conditions may complicate the treatment of otherwise simple issues. Most severe cases will then need to be moved into the ambulance and transported to the nearest hospital as quickly as possible. As you build your reputation, you will be assigned to new districts which have thrilling new situations and unlock new tools will be available in your ambulance.
Stay resolute in the face of adversity
Catastrophic events may occur during your shifts and you must rise to the occasion. During these extraordinary situations, the number of victims increase exponentially. Methodically examine your patients and triage their care according to the severity of their injuries. You will be confronted by moral dilemmas which will directly impact your patients' chances of survival. You will be responsible for difficult decisions—Try as you might, there will be times you can’t save everyone. Can you handle the pressure?
