Alderac Enterainment Group, abbreviated at AEG, were formed in 1993 by Jolly Blackburn. At the time, the company focused on hobby gaming magazines such as Shadis - winner of the 1994,1995 and 1996 Origin Awards for best professional gaming magazine. The company released the popular Legend of the Five Rings card game in 1995, however they didn't enter the 'board game' market until 2009. Since then we have been treated to some amazing board game franchises, including top sellers such as Smash Up, Love Letter, Valley of the Kings, Mystic Vale and Dice City. According to their official website, Alderac Entertainment Group has a virtual workforce distributed all over the world. This includes France, Canada and several US states.
