NEWS: Wrath of Fire Mountain

WRATH OF FIRE MOUNTAIN

I try to limit my social media usage. When I do flick on though and see a creator announce their upcoming new release I always give a little fist pump. It’s always a fun and exciting moment to see what is coming from a developer I like and it’s always the case with Gamewright Games. They have announced their latest game of Wrath of Fire Mountain.

Ever since getting given Gubs quite a few years ago now I have been a huge fan. Other popular titles of theirs that I like include Trash Pandas, Loot and Dragonwood. I’m sure this new game will match the quality of the brand.

The social media post gave minimal away. It is a prehistoric strategy game (which is not typical of some of the games above) where the players compete to dominate the board with their cave people. Part of the game involves collecting and hatching dinosaurs as well as escaping from the volcano before it erupts and ruins everything. It comes out in August and will be available to try at Gen Con.

It is not a lot to go on, but if Gamewright games are anything to go by there will likely be a definite end, so that to me suggests the volcano will certainly erupt and could well trigger the end of the game. I’ve not played much of their strategy games, I’m aware of the Forbidden series but I’ve played more of their light and entertaining card based games. This one has caught my eye though and I do want to give it a try. I’ll very much be keeping an eye out for when Wrath of Fire Mountain hits the stores.

I cannot wait.
