For good reason, Ticket to Ride is one of the best and most approachable board games in the world today. Along with its visuals, gameplay and general ‘not too competitive’ atmosphere, its themes and locations are the real selling point. Those can include sweeping maps of Europe or the USA, but also can focus on smaller scale locations like New York, London or now...Berlin!
Yes, the next Ticket to Ride expansion has been announced and we’ll all soon be taking a trip to the culture rich city of Berlin. Focused on the area around the Unter den Linden, it will let players visit iconic locations around the city as they try and achieve their transportation goals.
In a slight twist to the Ticket to Ride formula, you can get around Berlin using both Streetcars and Subway cars. Streetcars acting like normal trains would, but Subway cars connect locations with a single space, letting you know how many cards that one space will cost you.
Another exciting entry in the Ticket to Ride world, and a great one to pick up if you are interested in Germany and it’s culture.
