If you can’t get enough of Parks, you are in for a treat! Another addition is being added to the family, designed by Henry Audubon.
Parks Roll & Hike takes the core concept of Parks—hiking through US National Parks—and condenses it into a roll-and-write adventure. Over the course of three turns, players will hike the trail and score lots of points. Along the way they will see plenty of sights and roll dice!
Gameplay follows players on a trail populated with landmark tokens, and dice determine what activities players record in their journals. There are lots of ways to score points: players can fill up their canteens, spot wildlife, use binoculars, write in their journals, or visit landmarks during the sunset action. For a small box, there is plenty to do and discover, including a solo mode. Despite all this content, the game has a small footprint, making it perfect for campers, coffee goers, and gamers on the move.
This game comes in a small package with a nifty magnetic clasp. In the box, players will find four journals, a player board, six park cards, engraved dice, a set of custom pencils, and a Roll & Hike rubber. Keymaster Games always deliver a quality finish, and this small addition is no different. The artistic style has moved away from the classic Fifty-Nine Parks Print Series and instead features a vibrant, cartoon-style aesthetic that really pops out of the box.
Parks Roll & Hike will debut at GenCon 2024 and be available in US stores from September. Currently, there are no release dates for the rest of the world. Hopefully, this cosy adventure will hit stores worldwide soon—I would love to take this on my next camping trip.
