Undaunted Goes Back to The Front
One of last year’s undisputed gaming surprises was Osprey Games follow up to 2019’s Undaunted: Normandy, Undaunted: North Africa. It’s a combination of deck building, war gaming and campaign play. It's based on the guerrilla exploits of the Long Range Desert Group against the better supplied Italian army in North Africa. It really captured the feel of the conflict and the heart of many gamers, mine included.
Rather than rest on their well-earned laurels, Osprey games are deciding to spoil fans of the Undaunted series with even further treats. Undaunted: Reinforcements.
This modular expansion will support both Normandy and North Africa. Undaunted: Reinforcements introduces new units, new tiles, new campaigns. Thanks to David Turczi, designer of Anachrony, we have a whole new solo mode. Perfect for when/if we have another lockdown. As well as going solo, players will also be able to offer the Undaunted experience to four players.
"We are very proud that Undaunted: Normandy brought gamers together for exciting, quick-playing World War II action, and that North Africa built on that by adding vehicles, increasing asymmetry, and making the game even more dynamic,” commented David Thompson and Trevor Benjamin, the designers of the Undaunted series, “Reinforcements allows us to bring the game to even more people by adding a solitaire system and 4-player team play, and we’re also bringing more fun to the fight by expanding Undaunted: Normandy and Undaunted: North Africa with new soldiers and vehicles.”
With illustrations provided again by Roland Macdonald, Undaunted: Reinforcements promises to be jam-packed with add-ons for both games. The game is due for release in August of this year. Gives you plenty of time to complete the campaigns of Normandy and North Africa…
