Put down that pizza slice and gear up, it’s action time! That’s right turtle fans, there’s a brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game inbound and it’s going to be one hell of an adventure!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is a direct spin off of the same titled animated film released earlier this year. And by the sounds of it, the transition from the big screen to video games was inevitable. As Doug Rosen, vice president of video games at Paramount said himself, “The vibrancy of this new film’s animation lends itself perfectly to video games, and we can’t wait for everyone to play it.”
Although there isn’t much currently known about this new installment, Outright Games teased just enough to grab our attention. Mutant Mayhem will feature the characteristic artstyle that fans know and love from the Teenage mutant Ninja Turtle series and take place a few months after the events that feature in the movie. Players will also get to take on the roles of the turtles as they make their way through the streets of New York City and take on new mutant threats.
Thankfully, turtle fans won’t have long to wait for this new installment as Mutant Mayhem will be making its way to consoles and PC’s sometime in 2024.
