There seems to be a new edition of the Middle Earth Strategy Battle (MESBG) on the horizon. Perhaps we should be looking to the east at first light on the fifth day? Although I think it'll take a little longer than that. But still, it's exciting.
The last edition was released 6 years ago, and by all accounts it's a solid game, but a lot of models have been released since then so might as well give things a once over. It will include refreshed rules for the game and all the armies, as well as supplements for Armies of the Lord of the Rings and Armies of the Hobbit. They promise it will make the units and characters feel even more connected to their on screen counterparts.
But that's not all, something else is approaching…some may have heard of the new LOTR animated movie The War of the Rohirrim coming in December. Well it looks like Games Workshop will be doing something in connection with that as well. What that could be is up for speculation, a new supplement for Armies of The War of the Rohirrim perhaps? A new terrain piece for Helms Deep? (Since the film is set around when Helms Deep was first built). Or something entirely different, we’ll just have to wait and see.
