Steamforged Games, best known for their popular adaptations of popular video games, are taking another swing at the Dark Souls franchise with Dark Souls: The Board Game - The Sunless City.
Six years ago, the first edition of the Dark Souls Board Game was released to mixed reviews. With players loving the vast amount of content, but falling out of love with the rules and mechanics.
Fast forward to now and the game is in an entirely different place than it was six years prior. The loving community have worked together to revamp the rules and make the game more player friendly. And to show how much has been improved, Steamforged games are releasing a new edition of the game with a reworked rule book using changes and improvements that the community have suggested..
The Sunless City offers players a new campaign in Lordran, where they must survive against new enemies, bosses and other challenges that.lurk beyond. In addition, this new set aims to focus solely on the first video game, rather than the expansive souls universe.
