Imagine if Dragon's Den, Shark Tank and Telestrations had a gaming lovechild. Enter Million Dollar Doodle by Molly Zeff and Jon Cannon from Flying Leap Games. This is an absolutely great party, drawing, imaginative business pitch game. It's unbelievably addictive and had all groups I have played it with laughing hysterically and returning to the new in-jokes throughout game night and beyond.

Million Dollar Doodle is ridiculously simple but has huge replayability and as long as you have a gaming group or family who are willing to use their imaginations a bit and can think on the spot, this will be a perfect addition to your game shelf.

So how does Million Dollar Doodle play?

You start with two cards each which have objects/ideas on them. You have to combine these into a company logo. It could be a jellyfish and a hand grenade; a snowstorm and the Eiffel tower or a pie chart and a door. The possibilities are endless; that’s why this has such replayability.

Once you have all drawn your logo, pass the pad on to the next player who, only seeing the logo, provides a company/product name. Pass on the pad and the next player must devise a catchy slogan for the company that builds on the logo and the name. The next player has to write a review, positive or negative for the product/company and passes the pad onto the final player.

Here the game steps up a level, and in Million Dollar Doodle, fortune favours the brave... and creative. The final act is to provide a pitch to the rest of your group, selling the product or company using all the information you have on the pad.

The group then votes on the pitch most deserving of the million Dollar investment and this player wins the round.

Million Dollar doodle is an absolute blast of a game and had us all laughing solidly for over an hour. At each stage things get funnier and funnier. The zanier the imagination the better as each player adds their take and personality to the ideas on the page.

This game does require the right group who are willing to use their imagination and sense of humour. This will push the limits of what that picture could be or what someone might say about the product.

I imagine that depending on the group the humour could become a little not safe for work. Although, there is nothing in the cards that is inappropriate, and my 9 year old loved playing.

As party games go, this is one of the best. Total engagement from the off, some great opportunities for shared jokes and creating long lasting memories and it is so simple that even Grandma can pick it up within the first play!

When the Hairy Gamelords played we were able to come up with some brilliant ideas. There was Space Cabbage, a new animated movie similar to another famed sci fi movie franchise. Or Tie Full Power, a tablet that helps you if you are stressed at work! There was the Carbon Cactus Diamond Company, "spikey and solid…" The possibilities are as limitless as your imagination.

So get your sketch pad, deal out two cards each, draw the logo pass the pad and then pitch like your life depends on it!

If you have one party game in your collection make it Million Dollar Doodle, it will not disappoint.

Coming soon to Kickstarter.
