Here at Zatu Games, we all work hard to bring you the best possible games along with delivering exclusive content straight to your door. You know our board games and you know our video games, but you don’t know the team behind them all! Every month I will be sitting down with a different member of staff so you can meet the team. From customer service to marketing, no meeple will be left unturned!
In the last year, the Zatu blog has grown massively! Not only have we welcomed more bloggers across board games and video games, we have also been growing our team here at Zatu HQ. We've been lucky enough to welcome Joey over the summer period to help out on the Zatu blog. A wizard with words and a joy in the office, Joey is the next member of the Zatu team to sit down with me and answer the questions that you are dying to know the answers to. Alongside working with our blogging applicants, Joey also writes our monthly Warhammer 40k news round-up.

Favourite Movie: This is a tricky one, But I’ve always enjoyed Pacific Rim
Favourite Character: Kiritsugu Emiya from Fate/Zero is a top one for me
Favourite Band/Singer: This is a tricky one, but probably Beck
Hobbies: If I’m not on call to my partner or with my family, you’ll probably find me vibing to pretty much every genre of music, or playing Cardfight!! Vanguard.
What’s been your highlight working at Zatu?
My highlight from the short time I’ve been here has to be working with all the brilliant guest bloggers. The best part is introducing great new writers to the Zatu team!
And what’s your favourite game and why?
My favourite game of all time has to be Titanfall 2. I got it a week after release and since then neither the campaign nor multiplayer ever let me down. Don’t get me started on the legendary characters and incredible movement. I can’t recommend this game enough, and to quote BT: “trust me.”
What was the first video game that you played?
My first ever video game was probably Lego Batman, but the first game I remember distinctly was Assassin’s Creed 2. That series holds a special place in my heart.
What is the last board game that you played?
I played Randomise with the family and we were in stitches for basically the whole thing. I can thoroughly recommend it!
And lastly, would you rather live in space or under the sea? And why?
Without hesitation, under the sea. I’ve always been fascinated by the ocean and everything we don’t know about it (probably got this off of my mum!) It excites me and terrifies me in equal measure, and I love finding out about new sea creatures and facts. If I weren’t so interested in Psychology, Marine Biology would absolutely be the career for me.
