Here at Zatu Games, we all work hard to bring you the best possible games along with delivering exclusive content straight to your door. You know our board games and you know our video games, but you don’t know the team behind them all! Every month I will be sitting down with a different member of staff so you can meet the team. From customer service to marketing, no meeple will be left unturned!
Alongside our website that ships across the globe, we also have a shop filled with gaming goodies! Having recently re-opened after restrictions began to lift, I wanted to sit down and chat with Hannah, our Shop Supervisor. The Zatu Games store is a hub of excitement and Hannah only adds to that, making sure that each and every customer leaves with the perfect game.
Name: Hannah
Job Title: Shop Supervisor
Favourite Food: Poke Bowl (minus the raw fish of course)
Favourite Biscuit: Hobnob, dunked in a cuppa
Favourite Movie: Rise of the Guardians
Favourite Character: It’s like choosing a favourite child. I’ve loved Spider-Man forever though… (but can I please say All Might would be a close second??)
Favourite Band/Singer: Coco and the Butterfields
Hobbies:I love to play music, I recently got into writing themes for my group’s D&D characters and since I’m obsessed with all things D&D, I’ve also started designing and making my own resin dice.
What’s been your highlight working at Zatu?
I love our customers at the shop, you regulars know who you are! Running our first Pokémon tournament a few weeks ago is probably one of the highlights for me.
And what’s your favourite game and why?
Does D&D count? My group played through Storm King’s Thunder last year, and I can’t recommend it enough to first-time players and veterans alike. Dragons and giants? What more could anyone want? Having an amazing DM helps of course.
What was the first video game that you played?
I watched my brother play a lot before I got into gaming, but the first game I played through myself was Ratchet and Clank on the PS2.
What is the last board game that you played?
Munchkin – I’m still impressed that my parents were willing to try it too. It was such a fun game and hilarious given that half of us had no idea how to play. We picked it up pretty quickly though.
Would you rather travel everywhere by slide or by zip line?
Slides are great until you get stuck halfway down and some random kid slams into the back of you…. So I’m gonna go with the zip line. (Plus, zip-lining is as close as I’ll ever get to web-slinging…)
Be sure to check back next month to meet more of the Zatu Team! In the meantime, you can always keep up to date with everything going on at Zatu HQ over on Instagram @zatugames. Why not catch up on the rest of our Meet the Zatu Games Team series?
