Infinite Warfare trailer released

Call of Duty is officially back following the release of the first trailer for the upcoming Infinite Warfare game.

The trailer was released yesterday afternoon by Activision and confirmed that the action will now take the player up into space. In the trailer we see earth being invaded by the Settlement Defence Front - who we met in the weekend's teaser videos.

This is a futuristic version on Earth that has been stripped of its natural resources as a result of population and industrial growth.

Throughout the trailer we can see epic destruction and on-foot combat, but then comes the really cool part. David Bowie's Space Oddity begins to play and the soldiers head to their warships and head up into the earth's atmosphere and through into space.

All-out space fighter combat is unleashed, bringing a whole new concept to the Call of Duty series. Infinite Warfare will bring stunning never before seen environments along with new weapons and solider abilities.

Little more has been revealed about the story itself but there was certainly enough in the trailer to get fans ready with the awesome space battles.

Activision have said that although the game does go into space, players will not be able to play as aliens, nor will they be fighting aliens. This is still human warfare, just on a completely different scale.

Infinite Warfare will be released on Friday, November 4 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC - with three different versions of the game available. Due to a deal between Sony and Activision, PS4 players will gain access to Infinite Warfare downloadable content before their Microsoft counterparts.

The Legacy Edition of the game will come with a fully-remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - which will include the campaign and 10 multiplayer maps from the original.

The Legacy Pro Edition will also come with the remastered version of Modern Warfare, but will also include the Infinite Warfare Season Pass, a Steelbook case, soundtrack and other digital items that have not yet been revealed.

Infinite Warfare Zombies

It has now been revealed that zombies will make their Infinity Ward Call of Duty debut in Infinite Warfare. Activision say that the zombie mode will be an original co-operative game that will take players through a brand-new storyline.

Zombies will be set in "it's own completely different universe" from the main game's campaign.

A few hours after the Infinite Warfare reveal, Activision did release a teaser image for the zombies mode. The image featured a blood-smeared movie reel that showed a zombie in running gear and the code "19-ATVI--85"

It is likely that more information regarding the Infinite Warfare campaign story, and the zombies, will be revealed at E3 in June.
