Horrible Games have just announced that they will no longer be known under that title. Instead, they will now be operating under the name of the Horrible Guild. Founded in 2014 by Lorenzo Silva, the two-man operation has more than tripled in size to seven, so in order to reflect the ethos of creating “cool and innovative games” and the “expanded… family”, the new name was chosen.
In the press release, they also point out one other very important advantage of the name change. They said: “You won’t have to tell your friends that we don’t actually make “horrible games” when you introduce one of our games to them.”
The release goes on to say:
"We think that the word “guild” better describes us as we are now, a bigger group of people sharing the same goal: designing, developing and producing cool and innovative games capable of bringing fun to everyone."

The new name and logo made an appearance at Essen over the weekend. They've also updated their social media accounts and rebuilt their website.
The Horrible Guild have a not-so horrible line up of games in their catalogue. This includes the marble-driven madness of Potion Explosion and the Mah-Jong inspired Dragon Castle. The latter is a survival horror game. One player is the hero whilst the others become nasties.
Other games include Alone and the roll and write Railroad Ink. They also have a unicorn racing game called Unicorn Fever, but I’m sure that there is nobody out there that’s interested in unicorns…
