P500 SYSTEM
GMT Games run a unique pre-order system known as Project 500. This system allows customers to vote via pre-order for the games that they would most want to have produced by the company. Production of a new game will not begin until there are a minimum number of pre-orders for a particular game - originally 500, but now around 750. The games are offered at a discount and this commitment does not involve any financial payment until the game has reached the pre-order target for production. Other war game publishers have now started using a similar system with their games. Read more about P500.
