E3 2016: Xbox One Games

During their E3 Conference, Microsoft unveiled a whole host of Xbox One games to go alongside their brand-new Xbox One S and Project Scorpio consoles.

Here is a quick round-up of the very best Xbox One games that were announced during the show:

Forza Horizon 3

The third installment in the open-world racing franchise will take place down under, in the heat of Australia. Environments shown in the first trailer include coastal roads, sweltering deserts, cliff-side beaches and jungles!

Forza Horizon 3 will feature the biggest map and roster of cars ever in the series. You can expect to get behind the wheel of some of the world's most luxurious cars. This includes the stunning Lamborghini Centenario - which will feature on the game's front cover.

The game includes a brilliant open world experience with changeable weather and day and night cycles.

The game will allow four players to play in a co-operative campaign and Xbox One players will be able to join their PC friends through the new Xbox Play Anywhere programme.

Halo Wars 2

The follow-up to the successful 2009 hit Halo Wars has finally been unveiled. The new game's campaign takes place 28 years after the original game.

If you have an Xbox One you can download the beta right now to give the new game a test-run before it's official launch in February 2017.

Gears of War 4

The fourth installment in the highly-successful series was shown-off in an impressive seven-minute video at E3. Microsoft will be hoping that this is the game to lead the fightback against Sony and the PlayStation 4.

The people in attendance were treated to some live co-op gameplay which looks absolutely stunning. The fan-favourite Horde-Mode was also confirmed for the game - much to the delight of everybody!

Gears of War 4 is also a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere programme which means console gamers will be able to play alongside and against PC gamers.

Dead Rising 4

The zombie-bashing series is back and so is the original game's Frank West! The game is set 16 years after the original game and if the trailer is anything to by, it looks like it is set over the festive period - in Willamette, Colorado.

This time the outbreak has spread near Black Friday, the hallowed annual shopping extravaganza that officially kicks the start of the Christmas Season.

The game seems to be even crazier than before with candy cane weapons and flame-throwing vehicles. You will be able to fight the zombies with your friend thanks to four-player co-op.

If you loved the original trilogy , especially the original, then you are going to love this latest installment - which is due to be released in the winter.

Tekken 7

The long-running fighting franchise is making its return in 2017! The release trailer showed-off a brawl between Street Fighter's Akuma and Tekken's Heihachi Mishima.

The game looked graphically superb whilst the gameplay looked like your typical Tekken fighting game. Fans of the series won't really need any encouragement to purchase this game - which is released 'early 2017'.

Other Xbox One Games

Other top games that were presented during the conference include:

  • Sea of Thieves
  • Scalebound
  • Recore
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • State of Decay 2
  • Limbo
  • We Happy Few
