Survive: Escape From Atlantis
Survive: Escape From Atlantis has been making a splash in the board gaming world since 1982. Its 30th anniversary edition is now sold, however, it will soon be celebrating its 40th anniversary!
In Survive, you must lead your explorers from the sinking ruins of Atlantis to one of four safe islands surrounding the city. However, several obstacles stand in your way. These are sea serpents, monsters, lack of life rafts, and oh yeah, a volcano that's going to explode any minute.
Explorers are wroth different amounts of points. However! You do not know who is worth what. You must make the tricky decision to move them along one by one, with more chance of making it across the sea, or a bunch at once, potentially saving more lives.
Dominant Species: Marine
In case the name wasn't self explanatory, this game is just like Dominant Species, but a marine version. The game takes place at the end of an ice age and you play as the newly thawed sea creatures, trying to adapt to the ever changing climate.
Each player will take on the role of a species, either reptiles, fish, cephalopods, or crustaceans. From then on, it truly is survival of the fittest. You must attempt to survive and thrive in as many habitats as possible in order to claim powerful card effects. You will also want to propagate your selected species in order to earn victory points for your animal. Do these things well and you will dominate, not only the board but the species.
One more thing, make sure you make it snappy. You see, there's a rather large asteroid heading this way...
Crossroads: Forgotten Waters
A half board game, half RPG hybrid? A pirate themed A half board game, half RPG hybrid? What could be better than Crossroads: Forgotten Waters? Why nothing my hearties.
This game combines beautifully crafted components and an amazing app to flood players with hours of fun! Begin by creating your pirate character sheet, including your asymmetrical player powers. Build these up by improving your character's stats throughout the game.
