Power Grid
Not too dissimilar to Monopoly, the aim of the game in Power Grid is to build property. However, this time with the most and best power plants to generate enough power for the cities. You must be crafty in Power Grid because as plants are purchased, newer, more efficient ones become available, so by merely purchasing, you're potentially allowing others access to superior equipment. Don't spend your money too quickly, you need raw materials for your plants and coal, oil, garbage, and uranium don't come cheap. Although, you could go green with renewable plants that windfarm/solar plants power which require no fuel!
Funfair
Do you remember those sunny afternoons after school circa 2005 where you would look yourself in your bedroom and play Rollercoaster Tycoon for hours on end? Because we sure do. Look no further than a good game of Funfair to recreate that sweet mid-noughties nostalgia, but this time you can play with friends!
The aim of the game with Funfair is to create blueprints, hire staff members, host the best rides to draw in cash, and build super attractions to maximise your park's strategy for the win! The game may be called Funfair but you still want to be the most powerful tycoon with the fair that blows all the others out the park.
VitiCulture
While Viticulture is set long before modern capitalism or cryptocurrency, the fat cat tactics needed to win this game are still ever prevalent. Using ‘Euro’ mechanics players compete to score points and become known as the best winemaker. Build your reputation and money pile by sending your workers to gather vines, build more storage and buildings for bonuses, and earn money by selling you wine and giving vineyard tours.
This game comes with many expansions to alter, enhance, and exhilarate your experience at the vineyard. Find them here.
