One of the biggest complaints that many make about board games is just how long they think they take. This is a myth that Bush, Brian and Jess are ready to bust! In Bush's Board Game Thing Episode 19, the team will be bringing you the best games that you can pick up and play in under 15 minutes.
This week the trio is joined by radio and TV personality, Matt Edmondson. In 2015, Matt teamed up with the amazing people over at Big Potato Games to bring us the amazing Obama Llama and Dino Dump. Be sure to check out the latest episode with the hilarious Matt.
Obama Llama 2
Have you ever wondered how to describe the 44th President of the United States riding an animal similar to that of an Alpaca?? If you answered Barack Obama riding a Llama, then you are going to feel right at home playing Obama Llama, the ridiculous silly rhyming game from Big Potato Games.
This isn't your mother's llama though, this is the reprint of the 2015 classic. As well as getting shining new cards, you'll also see some rather interesting new addition that includes Severus Snape and a tyrannosaurus rex!
In each round of Obama Llama, a player must roll a dice which, in turn, will tell them which pile to select a card from. These three piles have three different types of cards for the player to read from. Each card will have a rhyme on it, anything from Cara Delevingne on a washing machine to George Clooney pulling a moony! It is up to that player to describe that rhyme to their team, without saying any of the words on the card.
Anyone can pick up and play this one and it will soon be a staple in your collection. Get ready to shout as many guesses as you can in this game of rhyming madness.
What Came First
We all know the age-old question; what came first, the chicken or the egg? Big Potato are making their second appearance on our list with What Came First in which they ask which random thing came first. Get ready to pick a side and place your bets.
Mayo or ketchup?
The Statue of Liberty or The Eiffel Tower?
Burgers or hotdogs?
Back your answer depending on how confident you are. The player who wins the most chips gets round the board quickest and wins What Came First.
Mr Lister's Quiz Shootout
It's a home-run, Big Potato Games have dominated this week's podcast blog! Our third and final game is Mr Lister's Quiz Shootout.
This is a Russian roulette trivia game with brains instead of guns. Mr Lister puts on the moustache, asks a question and players fight to stay in the game. Get it wrong you're out! Get a golden answer, you're straight to the shootout round.
In Bush's Board Game Thing Episode 19, Jess embraces the moustache and embodies Mr Lister whilst putting the boys head-to-head. Get ready to listen to Brian and Bush scrabble to list as many toothpaste brands as they can whilst the ominous Countdown timer plays.
Brian's Board Game Fact of the Week
In honour of Matt's hit Dino Dump, Brian is back with a Jurassic fact.
Dinosaurs actually had more time than us! They could have played games of Monopoly to completion if they so wished, even if they didn't have opposable thumbs. Dinosaurs actually would have had longer years than us as the moon was closer to the Earth. The Earth also spun faster which resulted in years that consisted of 370 days!
