Board Game Spotlight: Orleans

Orleans

In today's board game spotlight we head over to medieval France as we take a look at Orleans.

The Game

Orleans is a game for two to four players in which you will be building a pool of workers in order to try and prove your supremacy through trade, construction and science. Each turn you will be assigning your followers to different roles, in order to try and expand your dominance.

These roles consist of Knights who can protect your trade ventures, Craftsmen which allow you to build trade posts, Scholars who allow you to increase your science and Monks which will make you less likely to fall victim to fate.

As you play you will discover many ways to victory in Orleans, but to get there you will need to use all the games elements to create a winning strategy.

The game has spawned three additional board games since its 2014 release. These are Orleans: Deluxe Edition, Orleans: Invasion and Orleans: Handel & Intrige.
