Azul Duel Announced!

It feels like there are loads of Duel versions of games coming out at the moment, and we won't say no to another: Azul Duel! Asmodee hit social media today announcing the game is coming. They produced a lovely video as a sneak peak and noted more information is coming...so keep a look out.

Azul is a game where players draft their tiles and lay them on their playing board. What follows from this is a scoring mechanism based on how the tiles are placed. Bonuses also available. It is a wonderful game for me that does not tire me out.

This Duel version is a surprising announcement, because Azul plays out very well as a 2 player game. What's the twist going to be? We can see the tiles are not square in this edition, they will be circular - which is a big change.

The game has been created by Michael Kielsing with artwork and illustrations by Maeva Da Silva. Asmodee notes the challenge is unlike any other and this game will transform Azul forever.

The initial social media commentary has been very positive around this and how it looks. I’m in agreement and cannot wait to see what Asmodee has to say next.
