A special addition of the upcoming WWE 2K17 game has been revealed by none other than Triple H himself. The special version of the game is called the NXT Edition which, as you can imagine, means that there will be a host of NXT superstars involved in the game.
For those of you who aren't familiar with NXT, Zatu Games is here to give you a quick insight.
What is NXT?
NXT is the developmental brand within the WWE and is run by veteran wrestler Triple H. Some of the top stars in the WWE started out down in NXT, or FCW as it was previously known as, including Seth Rollins, Rusev, Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens.
The aim in NXT is to introduce new talent to the WWE fans whilst giving wrestlers the chance to learn and develop their skills both inside and outside of the ring. When they are not performing on an NXT show, the superstars will be training at the Performance Centre.
Superstars practice everything from the moves in the ring, to interviews and their entrance. NXT is all about developing your character and ensuring that you are at the top of your game whilst in the squared circle.
NXT has become more popular than predicted and is actually the show of choice for many die-hard fans. In fact NXT has now done sell-out tours across America and Europe. If all goes to plan a superstar will impress officials whilst in NXT and will receive a call-up to the main roster.
NXT Edition content
The NXT Edition of WWE 2K17 is limited to just 50,000 copies around the world - which means you will need to act quickly if you want a copy.
This rare special addition includes an exclusive eight-inch 'Demon' Finn Balor collective figure. This figure has been sculpted with great detail and looks exactly like the former NXT Champion. Balor is one of the most popular superstars within NXT and is expected to be moving up to the main WWE shows in the next few weeks.
Alongside the cool figure, fans who purchase the NXT Edition will also get their hands on an exclusive Canvas2Canvas lithograph which has been autographed by NXT Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura.
You will also receive the NXT Enhancement Pack which will give you playable versions of Nakamura, Nia Jax and Apollo Crews - along with a 50% boost in points earned during NXT in MyCareer.
The Goldberg pre-order pack and an exclusive Topps NXT TakeOver: London Mat Relics Card - including a piece of the ring from the event - is also included.
WWE 2K17 Release Details
Both the standard and NXT Editions of WWE 2K17 will be released nationwide on October 11.
The standard edition will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360. The NXT Edition will be limited to the current gen consoles.
