It’s crazy to believe that the Disney+ TV show ‘The Mandalorian’ is nearly 5 years old. Since first hitting our screens back in 2019, the helmeted hero and his tiny travelling companion (anyone else still call Grogu ‘Baby Yoda’?) have appeared in all different forms of merchandise and products. Well for fans of the show, and especially of season 1, a brand new board game will be making its way onto wishlists in the near future… ‘The Mandalorian: Adventures’.
Unexpected Games have revealed the first details of this new coop campaign experience for 1-4 players. Players will work side by side to complete various missions inspired by the first season of the Disney+ show. There will be 8 playable characters to choose from such as Greef Karga and IG-11, each with their own set of skills (I really hope Kuill makes an appearance, but maybe that’s just me!) Gameplay promises to be very true to the show as players engage enemies in combat, gather intel and perform gambits that might even trigger greater threats. With a map book providing mission maps for players it looks like there will be plenty of variety on hand. Further to this, a Hidden Motives mode has been teased so expect some betrayal from your team members to be on the cards.
The Mandalorian: Adventures is expected to be released in August 2024.
