As far as Kickstarters board game companies go, CMON is one of the giants. Having created a plethora of games over the years stretching genres, TV shows, films and video games; there really is no stopping them. So it’s not surprising that they announced the newest Heroic title, DCeased, to their long line of board games at their very own convention, CMON Expo USA
Expanding the Zombicide universe ever further, CMON are bringing the world of Detective Comics to their zombie filled land. Announced through a short video released on youtube during the event, fans got a few teasers of the heroes they could expect to see when the game arrives on their tables.
Given their previous Zombicide titles in the Marvel Universe, it’s really not surprising that they’ve ventured into the other side, full of bats, cats and robins. Using the DCeased storylines as inspiration and material, fans are in for a treat as they experience the dark twisted tales that this version of the DC universe has to offer.
What’s more, is if previous Zombicide campaigns are anything to go by, fans can expect a large amount of character models and expansions to unlock through stretch goals while the campaign is live. This hopefully means that we’ll get to see some of our favourite heroes, villains and some of the lesser known names in Gotham.
Also, like previous zombicide games, it will likely follow suit with the cooperative play style whilst making the most of every superhero quip that the DC universe has to offer. Unfortunately, we can only speculate on what to expect inside the box as CMON have yet to reveal any more information on the game itself.
What we do know, however, is that the Zombicide DCeased campaign goes live later this year, so you don’t have long to wait. However, in the meantime, why not head over to the kickstarter page to follow the campaign so you don’t miss out when it goes live. And while we wait, why not let us know which Gothamites you’re hoping to see when the campaign goes live? You can let us know by using the @zatugames tag on any social media platform.
